Like many youngsters I played army as a lad. I reveled in the exploits of Grant, Lee, Sherman, Sheridan, Patton, and many others. I gained an appreciation for Bedford Forrest as an adult. Stonewall Jackson is to be greatly admired.
I include the following Top Ten list for your consideration. I hope you add a few, replace a few, or come up with a different list altogether.
No matter what you might do, I hope you will agree that the number one American General was George Washington, the indispensable man.
