Shakedown

Rep. Joe Barton (R-TX) was right. Present Occupant and AG Holder took a $20 billion shakedown from British Petroleum. Barton's mistake was his apology and his subsequent apology for his apology. If it were not so sad, this would be funny. Keystone Cops have nothing on Washington, D. C.

Our country is backwards. I hope we turn around government in November. If we don't, I fear for our survival.

I try to remain upbeat, but cowards like Boehner, Cantor, and even Pence make it hard to keep a smile. The Marxists in charge turn every innocuous comment into some headline to prove the Conservatives are heartless boobs controlled by their libidos or by Big Government's whore, Big Business.

Coach Ralph Willard, formerly of my beloved WKU Hilltoppers, keeps statistics on deflections during a basketball game. It is one way to chart how a defense disrupts an opposing offense.

Boehner and Company should call Ralph. He could show them a thing or two. Until then, watch how the Marxists in charge deflect, obfuscate, and outright lie.

Shakedown. It makes a good title for a movie, but it is a crappy way to run a country.

Sadly, we are there now.
